Navajo ceremonial basket illusion created from a turned maple wood bowl.
The diameter is about 12½ inches. The basket was first beaded as the foundation
of a coiled basket. Then pyrography was used to simulate the weave pattern and the
herringbone rim. Finally, ink was used to color the rain cross design.
This turning was donated to the SWAT 2019 Symposium and sold at auction.
