At least Primitive Humans were using the animal for food and shelter and tools. Not hunted as a trophy or only for the ivory.

Last night we watched a program detailing the quest to stop elephant poaching.
Poachers kill, on average, 55 - yes, fifty-five, elephants a day for the ivory.......

At the rate we’re ruining this planet, not only woolly mammoths will be extinct.

Very nice processing. I dream of being able to transcend time after we leave this existence. Wouldn't it be fun to visit any point in history, solely as an observer of course!

A cool image! The climates been changing for the last 5 billion years, and humans have impacted it for only less than a million years. But of course everything has some impact. I love this shot!
