Because I was out of the country, he agreed to give Chile a mini birthday "party" & promised to do his best to take some photos of her with her cake. Unlike Bailey (who he also photographed on her 5th birthday https://pbase.com/britestar/image/168562892), Chile won't stay still for photos. So my hubby had to abandon his Cell Phone; which normally is the only camera that he will normally even try to use. Despite terrible indoor lighting (for the P900). he did manage to get a few in-focus memory shots of Chile on her birthday.

I have a great husband, who is willing to step out of his comfort zone, just to please me. He texted me (half a world away) with his photos of Chile. Although apart in miles sometimes, my husband and family are always with me.

My dear hubby said that he had to take the cupcake (mounded high with sugary frosting) away from Chile immediately after he got the few photos. Because Chile was gobbling the sweet icing off the cake as fast as she could, he was afraid that it might make her sick. However, she did receive some normal dog treats as a substitution.
