Just a lucky shot. I did not know this occultation was to occur, however when I set up to take this picture I did think the Moon was getting near where M44 was, and wondered when the next occultation was going to occur, not knowing it was in progress when I took a few shots trying to capture earthshine on the Moon during the pre-dawn hours.
