An antique 19th Century or earlier (much earlier) tsakli painting in mineral pigments depicting, within a burst of roiling flames, a great, big-bellied, green skinned wrathful deitytrampling upon prostrate wretches upon his base. He steps vigorously to his left, his yellow hair which is held back by a skull diadem streaming behind him, his snarling face with red facial hair, 3 eyes and a curling tongue as i a scream of anger. He brandishes a dorje in his right hand, the ends of his sacred thread in his left - both in Tarjani mudra. He wears bodhisattva jewellery, a flowing green cloak/scarf and a flayed skin is twiseted around his neck to drape over his shoulders. He wears a tiger-skin dhoti, held up by a red cummerbund, and a long garland of severed heads. 2 lines of Tibetan text to the reverse and two cloth affixing tabs. 9.5 x 12.9cm
