Washer Fluid Only

The Nova continues to be a project with some odd things on the build sheet.
This car is a bit of an oddity as it was a late production 1971.
That being said some of the parts are early 1972 pieces.
It can be a bit confusing at times looking for parts, like this window washer fluid tank.
I do have a factory assembly manual but of course it's updated with changes from the 1968 manual with factory hand written part number updates.
The assembly manual calls for a steel bracket and separate tank, but guess what that was used up until 1971 and they changed to what you see here.
The holes don't line up on the steel bracket, they only do on this one piece 1972 and up tank.
I don't know how this tank went missing in the first place and every car you look at it's gone!!!!
So for now it's fixed just waiting on the proper lid with the moulded-in washer hose hook-up.
I installed it for fitment only and will remove and clean it up later.
And yes this car has 1972 tail light lens's in it seems they ran out of 1971's , but they are still marked as 1971...strange!!!

I had a 56 Chevy with a 235 and the water pump pulley was mis-designed. The fix was a plate that was bolted in behind the pulley. Didn’t work so well and they would break, usually at the most inopportune time. (Read: Out in the middle nowhere) So whenever I was in a junkyard or even driving by I would go in a look for a pulley or the plate that went behind it. It took awhile but I did end up with some extras of each! So I can kinda relate to what the heck were they thinking over at GM on the day they came up with whatever ???
Good luck!
