HANAWAY COVERED BRIDGE 3040.jpg

For those who are wondering why there is no road, I am actually standing on the side embankment of the new road taking this picture. They built a larger and more modern road and wanted to keep this historic bridge. The old parts of the road on one side of the bridge is used for site seers to park.

Nice shot Marcia. Frank got it right, I too was wondering "no road?" I have never realized or appreciated the purpose/need of a covered bridge, but this one with no road really through me for a loop??
