New National Stadium, Tokyo, Japan

A view of the New National Stadium, which will serve as a venue for the 2020 Summer Olympics. Only the old National Stadium existed when we lived in Tokyo from 1992-95.

Best to view in "Original" or “Auto” because other versions resized by Pbase are decidedly unsharp.

Bird on a wire, posted earlier:

DxO ONE
1/100s f/1.8 at 11.9mm iso3200 full exif

other sizes: small medium large original auto

Wonderful view of this on a hazy or polluted evening. I wonder what that beautiful building is on the lower right. ~BV~

The stadium looks almost finished when I walked by. So much new construction around.

What amazes me the most is the population there! In Tokyo, there are over 30 million people living there, Canada's total population, men, women and children is only 37 million people!
