eureka

for some reason seldom mentioned in the same breathe as other historic buildings like the Taj Mahal in Agra, Sacre Coeur in Paris, or the parliament buildings in Budapest, nevertheless this structure is notable for its history....built in the Boomtown Style, with the false front, it first opened in 1908, to serve the burgeoning neighbourhood, as the Eureka Grocery

Like the false front and how they cut the corner of the building off to accommodate the Cafe. Can't go wrong with a name like Eureka.

Interesting historic architecture. I imagine the shop keepers have always lived upstairs. It segued into a coffee shop nicely. Charming photo. V.

That all being said! I have a feeling this place serves great coffee. The kind that you don't even want to talk and get the hell out of my way until I get some kind of coffee!
Looks like they do good! Great well timed shot! V
