Day 37

Although the weather started out rainy, things cleared up as the day progressed. We had booked 2 boat tours in Voyageurs National Park. The first one started in the rain, so I decided to leave the big cameras behind. Turned out to be a good choice. It was just fun to sit and watch the world go by. We did see some bald eagles and loons, but they were very poorly lighted.

For the later tour the rain had abated and I decided to take a long lens and see what I could get. It turned out to work well because we had nice encounters with Bald Eagles, Loons and Squirrels. As my photographer friends understand, you spend a lot of time just holding the camera and waiting. Today I was rewarded. My photo for today is a pair of Bald Eagles. They weren't far from their nest where we were able to photograph a pair of juveniles. Good fun.
