Model A Ford Foundation Inc, (MAFFI)
Ford Model A Museum at the Gilmore Car Museum
"Cabriolet" - "A Carriage with a folding top, capable of carrying two persons."
This beautiful car is rare in many ways. It has been restored to the highest standards,
winning a "Henry" Award, the ultimate award level of the Model A Restorer's Club. As
with a horse-drawn cabriolet, this model can carry two people in the front seat, but
it can also carry two people in the rumble seat. And, with this car, they are also
protected from the weather by a rare accessory, the Tuxaway rumble seat top.
The cabriolet was introduced in 1929. This 1930 model had a vertical windshield; a slanted
windshield model was introduced in 1931. All of the cabriolets had roll-up glass windows,
the only open model so equipped except for the 1931 A400.
