A splendid, antique, 19th Century tsakli painting in mineral pigments and gold depicting one of the 8 jewel ornaments of the Bodhisattvas - the crown. A diadem of 5 points each bearing a flaming 'norbu' - or precious jewel, set before the high chignon of the bodhisattva, which is tied in 'stupa form' by gold bindings and topped with a cintimani. The bodhisattva's heavy gold earrings are attached at either side of the diadem, his celestial scarf flowing about below, a swag of delicate gold hangs between the points of the crown. 3 lines of text beneath a red syllable to the reverse. 9.8 x 11.1 cm
