Although our temperatures aren't as high as with the actual temperatures in the deadly heat wave in France, we're now experiencing our first extreme heat wave of the Summer. Today and tomorrow are under a Heat Advisory with a heat index soaring to 107 degrees.
Our Saturday is supposed to be filled with all day, outside activities in the sun. Now, I'm not sure what we'll be doing. Due to the risk of heat stroke, people here are being strongly cautioned to both stay in air conditioning if possible; plus to also stay out of the sun. Humidity levels are in the 60%+ range. That makes a person's body have to work much harder to cool itself. I personally don't do humidity well; even at lower temperatures... So I now don't know about sitting out in the hot sun all day.
The car is loaded and my cameras ready to go tomorrow. Unfortunately, it somewhat looks like "extreme weather" may win out again. Although we've had a string of 3 straight, rainless days, areas are also still flooded. What a mess!!! I'm starting to get Cabin Fever from not seeing "normal weather" in 2019.
We've gone from extreme cold and snow to months of daily rain & floods & now, to extreme heat & humidity. Rumor is that the rains will come back in another week but the temperatures aren't going to drop.
