You know, there was a vagrant or two...one fiddling with something as I left....I put a marble wall between us...so any bullets would have to be aimed high...Oddly, he also had a cane with a brass animal head one it, (as maybe a weapon). I on the other hand had my tripod and we could see who would better beat the other to death.
Most worrisome, I had the camera in one hand, in open display (there was nowhere to put it), and this always makes you a potential target.
Well...as I insisted to female client with troubles today...we have to live our lives, whatever they may be, we have to run the risks.
I really enjoy how there isn’t anyone or automobiles present in your photo. But on the other hand being in a deserted area where there isn’t anyone around that late at night would spook me to no end and put my radar on high alert. A good friend once told me “nothing good happens at night”. Paul
No, this is very recent, within the past two weeks. it was also surprising that the lights were on after 2am, which allowed me to take this image, (since I was passing by anyway, saw the lights still on and decided to stop).
Much of the city is now lit, especially the skyscrapers, until 2am....I need to shoot all of it and am planning on it.
I always love rich colors. As many times that I’ve been to LA, I don’t ever remember being downtown at night, is city hall consistently lit up at night this way? Paul
