In the background, to the right, you can see one of the "shantytowns" that dot this area. It is an illegal construction, and it sits on land that could include old pre-Incan ruins.

The little dots to the left of the picture are the remains of shops from the old marketplace that existed when this place was once inhabited. We are talking a long time ago!

It is a good climb up to the temple!
