The Urubamba river from Machu Picchu with Hydroelectrica in the background

Hydroelectrica is the final destination for some of the trains that go through Aguas Caliente. Apparently, you can hike along the railroad tracks between the two places. It could be a less expensive way to get to Machu Picchu.

If only I were young and more adventurous!
