I really like doing surfing shots around sunset- the light is just magical. But once the sun does down there isn't enough light for high speed stop action. So I dial the shutter speed way down and take panning shots. I think it really emphasizes the speed and produces an impressionistic effect. I know it isn't for everyone, but I think it is a cool way to present the sport and the athletes. Surfing action from Seaside, Cardiff State Beach, CA.
