Mississippi Lake

Our former cottage and garage that I and our sons built some 30 years ago. We owned the cottage and lot for about 28 years and decided to sell it about 10 years ago. In 1998 we had a similar flood, supposidly the 100 year flood. I'm sure glad it isn't I that has to repair the flood damage this time. I understand that the water levels have still not peaked. The above photo was taken from a ctv video on my computer screen. Note they are ferrying the sandbags to the cottage via pontoon boat.

These 100 year storms are becoming far too frequent. I wish these folks the best.

This is so sad! I went through a flood when I was in business. I never want to do that again!

Not a good situation to be in with all of this water to deal with. I used to live in a house that used to get a flooded back garden every time it rained heavy, I move on as soon as I could thankfully.

Ik had het gezien op het nieuws, wat een verschrikkelijk gebeuren.

Wow, that's shocking! Sorry for the property owner, but glad it isn't you.

seems devastating for people and property...did hear your water levels will continue to rise until at least the weekend..

Very sad event and probably quite similar to 2017 spring flooding in the area.
