the lighthouse at Cape Meares dates from 1890, and served coastal shipping until 1963...with the inclusion of the multi-faceted Fresnel lens, the light was visible from 21 miles (33 km) out to sea

Wonderful detail shot with all the cut glass! Didn't know you could get up so close to this. Is the light still in operation? I have seen these on a foggy night and the multiple light rays are fabulous.
