one of 2 near the base; mostly lined with local "Septarian" stone found in small quantities in cliffs; the carved freestone features are a later importation

There is a Chaplains's chamber, a Constable's chamber and I think a commanders one. As fas as I can gather it was rarely if ever occupied defensively - see URL for history on title page
