Far to the West

People talk of the Mother Road and never consider
the millions who migrated west via the rails .
They forget about the boxcars filled with
riches that returned from the west.
So much history that it could easily be ignored.

This is a magical shot. The railways played a huge role in the US, think of all the railroad songs that talk about them, dozens and dozens of songs, from Lightfoot's Steel Rail Blues, to the Orange Blossom Special, to Elizabeth Cotton's Freight Train. V

This is a perfect picture. Composition, color, and interest. It depicts a segment of the charm of the United States. May it prosper and stay safe...somehow. Big Vote
