When I was at the 50th reunion last fall, I ran into Victor. We didn't interact all that much in high school, but through various postings on Facebook we became aware of a common interest in shooting sports. When we met up he said that I should really look into a Sig P365 to replace my Sig P938 carry gun. I didn't give it much thought at the time. He was insistent, however, in a subsequent message exchange. So I decided to go to one of the local ranges and rent one to try it out. I was impressed. It is striker fired, a trigger set up that I have some trouble with, but it feels good and it is sufficiently small for a carry gun. So today I decided to head off to Academy and buy one. When I told Ginny where I was headed, she was pretty sure what my objective was. She is very sharp! 45 years of experience makes her that way.

I threw all my range equipment in the van, bought the pistol and went straight to the range. After burning through 300 rounds of 9mm, I was sure I liked the pistol. I was also sure that a lot more practice is needed. When I got home I asked Ginny to take this photo.

It is striker fired so there is a long trigger pull.
It is a bit lighter than a revolver double action.
Just takes getting comfortable with the trigger.
It handles very nicely.

Looks a perfect size to carry.
What do you need to practice, handling or accuracy?.
Although I would think accuracy comes second to handling in a carry gun.
