B-c Chickadees reside here yearround, even through our coldest winters. This image was taken last Fall. Presently some of our Spring birds are starting to return even though there is still lots of snow on the ground and most lakes are still frozen. I saw my first Song Sparrow at my feeders this week, my first Robin in my yard, heard a chorus of Red-winged Blackbirds and encountered a small flock of returning Canada Geese. So, things are looking up after one of our most severe winters.
