I went to the Rochester Model Railroad Club open house over the weekend.
They model the Lehigh Valley Railroad from Jersey City to Buffalo.
This is a scratch-built model of the station at Rochester Junction in Rush, NY.
I can remember meeting my grandmother at the actual station in the 1950's.
The station burned down many years ago and the railroad here was torn up in the
late 1970's after Conrail took over all the bankrupt railroads in the NE USA.
It is now a rail trail, where I often ride my bicycle.
