My earliest memories of Tasmania are of arriving here at Kings Wharf on the Nairana in 1945 and seeing
the rather quaint trams that Launceston had in those days. It all looks rather run down now, with
blackberries growing beside the road, but there is a swishy hotel just a few hundred yards away.
