What Was It?

Borrego Springs, California

My traveling companions were not interested in abandoned buildings, but I was, so on our final day, they stopped the car and let me out here. Not what I had in mind, but I was intrigued by the building
because it has parking spaces in front, but I only see windows, no doors to get inside, but maybe that empty space between the windows is a boarded up door.
I didn't have time to investigate. I'm surprised it hasn't been torn down.

It had a writing on it "Tourist information center" when I was there, still closed at that time as well.

unusual to see what must have been someones dream house abandoned; must have woken up (or run out of water)

Restaurant? Tourist information center? Tiny casino?
Nicely captured.

The building has nice clean lines in contrast to the mountain. V

Cool find and shot and nice with the mountains in the background. "V"
If you give me the exact location I can try to find out what it was.

Probably you are correct about the door location. The building looks in good condition. Maybe they are looking for an appropriate use for it.

I like these intriguing old buildings. A pity you didn't had more time, but it is already a great shot. BV
