circa 1869
Formerly Mintaro's original public school, overlooking the church common and vineyards. Built of free labour by the town artisans in community spirit. Constructed of stone blocks, dark stain timber floors, the original ceiling still exists of packing case detail. The shingle roof was replaced with iron in the 1880 drought to form a common roof with the adjoining settler's cottage.
