one for Neil

Pitigliano, Tuscany, Italy

here's one for Neil M, who appreciates weathered doorways shot straight on

the two of us have debated such problematic direct shots in the past, with Neil in favour of them, but in the end agree to disagree...I know I am right, yet Neil knows he is right too...just recently he remarked we will have to discuss the issue over a bottle of wine....hopefully Neil is buying..

Nikon D90
Nikkor 12-24mm - 1/40s f/4.0 at 13.0mm iso200 full exif

other sizes: small medium large auto

I appreciate weathered doorways shot any which way. This is a great one with so much old decaying character. ~BV~

Such a new lock for such an old door. Certainly has a lot of character...kind of like Neil.

Its a wonderful doorway with great textures, enjoy the debate and wine!

The door is an fine example of the art of working with scraps. Milled wood is expensive in Italy and people have to do what they can. A fascinating example here."V".
When it comes to POV I would consider Walter's comment and my serious picture taking experience starting in 1946.

Cool find. Nice use of two padlocks.
I'm afraid I'm with Neil and Marcia on this one (see her comment below). I'll gladly let you buy me an IPA so we can discuss it.

It looks like that door has seen a lot of people come and go over the years

Doesn't look like the padlock is necessary! :-)

Looks like it was quite a strong door once upon a time. Too bad it's fallen into such disrepair.

Still a sturdy looking patch worked door.
