This famous icon of Costa Rica is often covered in fog or clouds. The two nights we stayed in La Fortuna, we were in a new building that was not yet finished where the elevator wasn't working yet and our room was missing a lot of things. However, we did have an excellent view out our back balcony. The first night I just sat there intermittently taking shots of Arenal, which was fully visible. This is one of them. The next night it was totally invisible.
