Books, Books, Books...

The image shows the upper halves of four of our bookcases. We have twenty in total. Life without books is unthinkable.

Thank you to Christine for the idea and inspiration to show a few of my books.

I worked for 30 years in a library...I'm happy to have bookless shelves now :))

Walter: My collection of books is much smaller, six shelves. Even so my biggest problem is finding a book when I need it. How do you manage with twenty shelves to search through? V

Following on to Raymond's; it has become an 'I spy with my little eye...'
Seems paper has become passé for these next generations, but there is something about the whole reading something tangible...

Wow, I LOOOOVE libraries, ir reveals so much as to who the persons ;living there are! Now I know you love Tintin, you have a big book on his stories, a small rocket from one of the stories, chinese fortune amulets, a metronome (for marking time on the piano) etc. Gorgeous shot

My goodness!!! This looks exactly like my mom's home. She also has about 20 bookcases (throughout her home)filled to the brim (and beyond)with books: read and reread. This tells me a lot about your personality. What a heart warming image. My home office has one wall of books like this. But when I exceed my book shelves' capacity, the older/less read books go to my mom. The above image was very nicely shot. I like the little mementos and personal items on the shelves along with the books. Plus the books on top of books. As I said, it's just like my mom's home. Yours is a special home!!!

Great idea for a slice of life image! I'm so glad I'm not the only one who has to throw books in on top of books because I've run out of room. V
