Outdoor setting & canna

At home

Showing where the canna in a pot resides... alongside the outdoor setting.
Last night we were both so tired after a long extremely hot day where the
temperature climbed to almost 47 degrees Celsius and stayed hot for most
of the night.. not much sleep was had, even with a fan going. We have
survived it this time. No power outages and no fires in our vicinity, though
the fire fighters still had a very busy day in other parts of the state
where the temperature rose to almost 50 degrees Celsius. The hottest day
on record for our state!

What a beautiful spot Yvonne - the canna looks so well, I would not think it is sooo very hot...

That's a beautiful seating area and I'm sure you enjoy it very much in cooler temperatures.
Aussie heatwave making the headlines here too.

Nice shot. Must be great place to sit when it is cooler. "V"
47 Degrees is incredibly hot. You'd have to go to Death Valley to find temperatures like this in California. Hope things cool down for you soon and that there are no fires near you.

First, this is a lovely, very serene image. You have such a beautiful garden and do a wonderful job in photographing it. However, the heat... That's horrible. I've been watching the situation on the news. I have you in my thoughts. Stay safe!!!

The last time that I was in Australia, there was also a historic heat wave; along with out-of-control wild fires everywhere. But I don't think those temperatures ever hit 50 degrees Celsius. Do you remember this: 2009 southeastern Australia heat wave ??? It was 43 degrees Celsius while I was in Melbourne and absolutely brutal to be outside doing photography or anything else. It sounds like you don't have air conditioning at your home; so you must really be suffering in this current heat wave that seems to be even worse.

This is such a peaceful and beautiful setting. But 47 degrees! I can hardly stand it here when it gets to +27! I am far more at ease in cold weather, even -40! V

Pretty setting. That heat is rough. I hope the fires stay away!
