Don't leave the pavement unless you are prepared.
Use paper maps not a GPS.
If it looks like you might get stuck
and you go down that road anyway.
You’re already stuck you just don’t know it yet.
Every year someone thinks they are taking a short cut.
Sometimes when springtime comes along,
they find the bones, sometimes not…
I drove the 80 miles from Baker NV to Milford UT on a
paved highway and saw zero people.
So your chances of getting help in
the back country is almost zero!
