Brooklands was an airfield in the very early days of flying and then hosted motor racing. But with WW2, it became an important aircraft factory and post war many airliners were built here such as the Vickers Viscount, Vickers Vanguard and the VC10 series. In its twilight years, sections of Concorde were even manufactured here.
Upon closure in the 1980s, land was set aside for a museum to reflect its tremendous heritage of cars and aircraft. This Concorde is one of the development aircraft which I was able to shoot from the outside. I need more light to do a proper visit justice!
