The Evening Grosbeak reportedly used to be common for the Ottawa area; however, this is my first sighting and capture of them in the Ottawa area. I have, however, previously seen and photographed them at Algonquin Park. Resently, there is a flock of about 20 +/- frequenting a feeder in the east end of Ottawa. There was also a rare female Rose-breasted Grosbeak accompanying the Evening Grosbeaks.
