A parliament of snowy owls

There are about 10 snowy owls perched together in this enclosure and 2 behind it. Across the road are perched 6 more owls making a total of 18 in this one area.

Not a nice setting but seeing so many owls together was amazing.

Snowy owls when not on their breeding territory, tend to tolerate one another at close proximity. This was seen at Boundary Bay on the west coast where large groups of 11 snowy owls could be seen perched close together on the same perch.
