His Majesty's Theatre in Aberdeen is the largest theatre in north-east Scotland, seating more than 1,400. It was designed by Frank Matcham and opened in 1906. [Wikipedia]. The theatre is one of three grand, civic, granite buildings in this row, the others being the Central Library and St. Mark's Church and they are collectively referred to as "education, damnation and salvation".
