Using the Internet

Havana, Cuba

To use the internet we had to buy these little cards that came with some number of hours of use time with a code you typed in whenever you logged on and it kept track of how much time you used up. To get an actual connection, you usually have to go to some public area, like this park, where wi-fi is set up. I took this shot while I was at the same park across from the house we were staying at while I too was using the internet.

Very interesting capture and information. Much different than much of the world. V

Seems like anywhere, anytime! I like the way he is framed by the interesting looking trees. V

cool to connect in the fresh air...love those tangled trees, echoing the complexity of Cuban laws..at least the government has loosened up a bit in recent years..
