A haiku by Shiko, who lived between 1665-1731). According to Stephen Addiss, et al, Shiko was a Zenmonk who later became a doctor and then a disciple of the great haiku master, Basho. ("Haiku, an anthology of Japanese Poems, by Stephen Addiss, Fumiko Yamamoto, and Akira Yamamoto).
It was snowing heavily when I took this, which obscured everything and made it hard to get a clear shot, let alone a sharp one!
