It's Happening Again

When I saw danad's photo the other day I knew I had to search for my photo of the same statue.
Daniel's photo is such a powerful expression of what is happening all over the world.
I fear we are doomed to repeat history.

That is a powerful work of art.
I sometimes forget that art is supposed to make us think!
This is an awesome image.

Great shot with this lighting and tight crop. I like the lighting and tones. "V"
I was very dismayed to see Daniel's image and the senseless damage done to the sculpture.

Hate, fear, shock and anger. An image that conveys all of these emotions and pretty well describes what we are seeing on a regular basis today in the news, in person and on the TV. Your processing adds nicely to this detailed capture. VV

Such a terrible state of affairs well expressed in both captures. V.

This image is more powerful that mine. This is an excellent image of the statue before the so-called "Gilets Jaunes" exactions. The expression seems to tell all the horror in presence of barbarian's acts. A very good work Jane !
The whole Arc de Triomphe has been restored now and is open to all public. Except for this statue dating from the XIXth century which need special cares.
Big vote.

No words I can use here, I believe this horrified face says it all... it's a slippery slope

This photo means more now that I have seen your unblemished sculpture. Vandalism an hate prevails today and I think that you are right. We will repeat history.
