Victoria Square and Town Hall

Victoria Square, Birmingham

The water feature in the foreground is 'The River', though locally known as the 'Floozie in the Jacuzzi'. A water leak from the fountain occurred in November 2008 and as a result it was only switched on for special occasions. A further leak occurred in 2013 and after that the main pool was filled with soil and bedding plants and no longer functions as a fountain.[Wikipedia]. In the background is the neoclassical Town Hall which opened in 1834 and was designed by architects Joseph Hansom and Edward Welch.

So nice to see when it was fully functioning as a fountain. The analog film looks just right for this shot. V
