Can't deny I barely gave this huge (and peculiar?) painting a second glance,
until I discovered it was previously owned by William Randolph Hearst.
It was later sold to RKO Pictures and eventually to Paramount Pictures
in Hollywood where it appeared as a backdrop in a 1946 Bob Hope film!
The painting didn't impress me but it's background story did!
