CLEMATIS viticella "Polish Spirit"

At home in the rose garden.

This clematis shares a large trellis and follows on after the climbing roses have finished flowering.
This is a clematis that suits our climate and seems very easy
to grow, I haven't done a thing to it and it has outlasted
other clematis that I have experimented with. This clematis is near another
trellis with similar coloured Veilchenblau trained on it, and that rose is still in bloom &
shares with a red clematis - see "next".

An eye-catching colour. I have seen clematis and climbing rose entwined and the effect is beautiful. Superb shot. V
