Closer than you know, Paul. CarolAnn is terrific. Border collies wish they could herd sheep as well as she herds clowns Thanksgiving morning on Woodward Avenue.

Yesterday was a chilly one! The photographers were still out in force, and clowns love to ham.

Dave after reading the article I'm convinced you need to contact Carol Ann and join the group since your a clown at heart... Right!! Paul

Oops, I forgot to answer our guest's questions. Yes, that is a copy of Rodin's The Thinker (one of the 12 copies made from the original plaster mold). I doubt I could explain better than the story at https://theparade.org/americas-thanksgiving-parade/distinguished-clown-corps/. Please let me know if you have any questions after reading it.

Thanks, Jim. Just one day a year for this sight. I had a unique perspective this time and snagged the opportunity.

Here's the official shot from a prior year: https://theparade.org/wp-content/uploads/cache/2015/05/dcc_hero2/2242647525.jpg

Great title for a unique photo that you don't see everyday.

What's the story of the clowns in front of the art museum. Is that The Thinker at left?
