Ottawa West

Several persons commented on the significant amount of feathers floating in the water. These are almost exclusively from Canada Geese gathering in large numbers before flying further south. The Geese usually stick around for several weeks trying to fatten-up in the adjacent cornfields. With the ponds now largely frozen over, they have probably all left now.

This one looks 'cold' - - maybe it's the icy-lookiung water with all those feathers; must have been lots of migrating waterfowl

Well captured image Hank, as Helen noted a lot of feathers scattered around.
