I believe that the name of bridge is actually the Red Cliff Bridge.
We had been driving for longer than we expected on US 24 without seeing signs for Red Cliff. Moreover, we were driving through woods, and even over a mountain pass at 13,000 feet. We were concerned! There was an open area on the side of the road where I pulled out to get my bearings. This was what I saw.
It turned out that we still had a couple of hundred yards to go before reaching the turn-off for Red Cliff. If was a turn to the left just at the start of the bridge itself. The hotel we stayed in in Red Cliff is named after the bridge.
Below the bridge is a second road that you can also take to get out of town. That road is actually on a lower bridge under which the tracks for the original Denver and Rio Grande Railroad used to run. The trains last ran in 1997. At that time, the line belonged to the Union Pacific Railroad.
