Northern Cardinal - juvenile

A very late family arrived in our backyard today. This young male has a red tail,
a few red wing feathers and a the beginning of a red cap with two white shafts
from molting baby feathers. He had two sisters and his parents with him.
Photographed through the glass patio door.

Well done Linda. Excellent sharp shot through the glass.

Remarkably sharp shot for being taken through a glass door. It is entirely beautiful too; seems late for a family of Cardinals, but this one looks well along in his 'adolescence'!
