Built in 1897 for the A.M. Todd Company's mint farm near Fennville
Michigan - Once known as the largest mint plantation in the World and
supplier to Wrigley's Chewing Gum - it has served here as a vehicle
display building since 1966.
This magnificent barn was acquired by Donald S. Gilmore in 1965, who
had it dismantled piece-by-piece and carefully numbered for reassembly.
Campania Barn, named for a region in southern Italy, was then transported
nearly 45 miles and then reconstructed, much like a toy Erector Set, on
the Museum grounds.
