28. Forgotten or Forsaken

George Ranch, Texas

Well, not quite forgotten. Tintype photographer

The tintype process or ferrotype process evolved from the ambrotype. It was invented by Prof. Hamilton Smith of Ohio in 1856.
Ambrotype images were collodion negatives on glass, viewed against a black surface.
Tintypes were negatives on on iron, coated with black paint, lacquer or enamel.

A lot of time and effort for each image. She is dedicated to her art.

Cool shot. I like the modern tripod and camera with the old lens. A messy process as can be gathered by her clothes. "V"

Great candid that, if it wasn't for her clothes, I would say is from another century. V.
