Sometimes you got to kiss a frog.

SLC, Utah

The other day my wife wanted me to go with her to one of her favorite quilt shops. This one is Pine Needles at Gardner Village. Usually I don't like to go to quilt shops unless I have a big book to read while she is in the shop or my camera. Pine Needles is sometimes ok as at Gardner Village they have a lot of different shops and themes during the year. As you can see I took the opportunity to kiss a frog.

That may have been a good thing. I have been working for several days on the articles for Victory Lane Magazine and was doing pretty good going through I don't know how many thousand photos I took at the two races and then having to write about them. I got the Rennsport article and photos off the VL a couple days ago and Sunday I started the article of the Sonoma CSRG race. Monday afternoon I sent my editor an email saying that I would get the Son6oma article to him that night. I did get it finished and a 10 p.m. I got my wife to help me with the draft by cleaning up my grammar and punctuation mistakes. We finished at 11 p.m. She was such a good sport as she was very tired. Terri then went upstairs to go to bed and I was in the process of starting to send it when...I lost the whole damn thing. Gone, nowhere to be found ever.

A true WHISKEY TANGO FOXTROT moment. It was gone all except for the last paragraph. Crap, and other words that I said to myself. I was so afraid to tell Terri that all the work that she helped me with was gone to somewhere in cyberspace, never to be seen again.
To tell you the truth I was pretty discouraged myself. Then Tuesday morning I had to go and have my 5 year colonoscopy. Here I just lost an article that I needed to send to the magazine and now I have to have a camera shoved up my butt. I didn't get anything done on the CSRG article yesterday. I started on it this morning and actually it went pretty well. Not exactly the same as the first but I felt it was pretty good. I managed to get Terri to proofread this one and safely sent off the VL.

Shortly after I sent it in I received an email from my editor and he liked it and I will have both articles published in the December issue. I also got 50 some photos sent in tonight. I am done till the spring racing season begins. YeeHaw!!!

I guess it may have been a good thing in Kissing that Frog.
