Now flies aren’t known for their scintillating intellect, but I’d have thought they'd have the innate sense not to land almost under the nose of a bull frog. But here we are and I was locked and loaded to try to catch this classic predator/prey drama as it played out. So I waited, and waited, and … nothing, zip, nada. The frog just sat there and eventually the fly flew away. Maybe the fly knew something I didn’t.
